Project-Based Learning (PBL) is a widely adopted pedagogical approach in higher education, aiming to improve student engagement, critical thinking, and collaboration skills. This study investigates students' perspectives on the effectiveness of PBL in enhancing their learning experiences. The study aims to assess students' views on how PBL influences their engagement, academic skills, collaboration, and overall learning outcomes in higher education. A mixed-method approach was used, consisting of a questionnaire (n = 35) and follow-up interviews with students. The questionnaire focused on various aspects of PBL, while interviews provided deeper insights into students’ experiences. The results indicated that students generally had a positive perception of PBL, with mean scores of 3.96. PBL increased engagement, improved academic skills (e.g., critical thinking), and enhanced collaboration. However, challenges like time management and group coordination were acknowledged. PBL is an effective learning method that boosts engagement and critical thinking, but requires improved support in managing time and team dynamics. Future research should explore strategies to address challenges in PBL and assess its long-term impact on students' career readiness and professional competencies.
